Financial News Update we 03/09/2010

Oh well its back to school – either this week or next – so that must mean summer is now officially over… I left the office last night at around 7.30 and noticed that it was starting to get dark…. it’s only September!

Nonetheless, I hope you had a good summer and managed to get some sort of break in or have you been waiting for the schools to reopen?

A mixed bag of news over the last few weeks to catch up on but with all the hype over the Blair memoires this week, perhaps everything else will be sidelined for a week or two for now?… we will just have to wait and see.

A couple of articles to highlight such as the IHT clarification from a recent tribunal; the plans to use public funds to build a care home described as one of the “most expensive in the UK” and a recent survey suggesting that almost 50% of us have NEVER reviewed our Pension arrangements, with only a 1/5th doing so in the last 12 months… I guess the other 50% will be relying on the state?

Have a great weekend!…
